Nancy Pelosi’s Facism

I heard an audio of Ms Pelosi, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, calling for an investigation into the funding of the opponents of the Ground Zero Mosque/Community Center/Victory Memorial.  This woman is a blight on our nation’s history.  Any sane person would be calling for an investigation on who is funding the $100 million it is going to cost to build this mosque, to know if the money is being funneled by those who call themselves our enemies.

Ms Pelosi, though, is a fascist of the old school.  She has set herself up as a god who flies high over the rest of us, and if we disagree with her, we must be idiots who need re-educated until we see the light.  After all, she said: “We have so much room for improvement.  Every aspect of our lives must be subjected to an inventory … of how we are taking responsibility.”  This remark was made in the haven of freedom, Red China.  Guess who is going to be taking the inventory?  I don’t believe she’s going to be asking me for my opinion of her life, so I will offer it for free:  What a waste.  What a waste.

If this sounds like your government: A political regime, having totalitarian aspirations, ideologically based on centralized government, government control of business, repression of criticism or opposition, a leader cult and exalting the state and/or religion above individual rights. … you might be living under fascism, because that’s the definition.  Do you think the Germans in 1935 realized what was coming?  It’s later than we think.

I cannot believe that I actually agree with President Barak Hussein Obama.  Now that that’s out of the way, I must admit that Barry and I might be wrong about this whole issue.

The owner of the property can do whatever he wants: build a mosque, an outhouse…hey, not much difference there, right?

I have no doubt that the primary purpose of this mosque will be to glorify the memory of the 19 hijackers who attacked the United States on 9/11.  We in the West have to see these evil men as the bulk of the Muslim world does: holy, martyred missionaries with a zeal for their god.  Putting this mosque as close as they can get it to the scene of their greatest triumph makes sense.  This is where we fail, however, and where Barack (rhymes with vomit) has failed us.  Memorials are erected by the winners of the war, not the losers.  Travel to Gettysburg; the Union erected many monuments shortly after the Civil War.  It was not until years later that the vanquished Confederate States were allowed to build some memorials to their dead.

The Muslims are telling us something:  “The war is over, and we won.”  Despite all of Obama’s kowtowing, apologizing, and worse; the war went on without him.  And we lost.  The United States lost the war because he refused to fight it.

But for B. Hussein Obama, it was a victory, so he can still eat his fancy salads while his wife and children frolic around the world on your tax money.  Because, my friends, I have come to this conclusion, the only one that makes all of his actions make sense:  He really is a Muslim.  I denied it, and defended his profession of Christianity, but I retract it all.  Actions always speak louder than words, and his actions scream his obedience to Allah and his messenger louder than his hollow, telepromptered words.

Get ready, ’cause here it comes…

It’s clear that this presidential family wants all perks, all the time.  Here’s a fact to get your head around:

During Michelle’s vacation in Spain, 125 African-American babies died in the United States.  That’s according to the government’s own figures of a 15% infant mortality rate among African-American newborns, and based on a daily average of 25 deaths a day.  That’s right.  Michelle Obama frollicked and met royalty while back home, newborn babies died.  Did she say a word about this during that time?  Not one.  Did she show any emotion about these deaths?  Nope.

I guess it’s not surprising that she didn’t mention the over 16,000 abortions during that same time period.  Her girl gets to see Spain.  The poor, and the weak…well, let’s not go there.

Is Michelle a modern day Marie Antoinette?  History tells us that she at least had the saving grace of being not-very-bright.  Michelle Obama?

Summer is the shortest season.  There are no furnaces to fuel, no snow to shovel, and no Christmas trees coming in the house.  But it is so short.  Summer must only truly last two months, at the most extreme, and then the colder weather returns.  They flick by like a weaver’s shuttle.

Back to the grind here, after the hustle and the bustle of another primary day.  I take great satisfaction in the loss of Arlen Specter.  Years ago, I actually had a yard sign out for this piece of waffling waste.  The next time he ran (for the Republicans, still) I refused the sign that was offered.  I can’t even say that he is a turncoat, because that would imply he originally had some principles, and I doubt he ever did.  He was and is the consummate politician who will do or say or BE anything to get elected.  It would not surprise me to see him pull a Leiberman and run as an Independent.  His ego is that enormous.  I do give the Democrats of Pennsylvania credit; the Republicans were foolish enough to keep nominating him, and they were not.

Teacher Retirements

I have always had the greatest respect in the world for teachers, until the past few years.  No more.  Now, though, the teachers in this area of the country have become demanding beyond belief.  We are getting a shoddy product, and worse.  Families chose to pay to send their children to private school, or sacrifice to home-school.  Meanwhile, at the public school, the “teachers” don’t teach, gripe at every opportunity about being underpaid, and get retire as early as age 55.   since the stock market is down, the unions are exercising their clout by having the school boards pass these increased costs along to the taxpayers.  Local tax rates could increase from 4 mills to 44.  Action is needed.  First, we should demand the resignation of the school board idiots who allowed such a provision to be agreed to in the first place and then elect people who will represent the students and taxpayers of the community.  Second, we must renege on these agreements.  If the rest of the peons have to work until 70, it’s good enough for teachers, too, especially since they spend one-quarter of their working lives on vacation anyway.  Third, equality in public education must be demanded.  There is rampant unfairness in public schools; one has a planetarium, dozens of clubs and sports; another in the same county, English books from the 1950′s.  Fairness is not the issue, because it is an illusion.  Get these bloodsucking leeches off the public dole.  The taxpayers are not refunding my lost retirement.  Why should we do theirs?

Elections

Scott Brown won the special election in the Bay State a few nights ago.  Immediately, both camps claimed victory.  I believe the most effective way to elevate the level of political discussion in this nation would be to eliminate all three 24-hours “news” channels.  Most of the time, they are talking heads commenting on a live news stream that has not been checked or verified by anyone.  Much of their reporting is simply talking about the stories that are scrolling along the bottom of the screen.  I faintly remember a time when news organizations simply reported what had happened, not how we should feel about it, or how we could help.  Garbage!

We have an outdoor dog, but as she’s gotten older and the nights have gotten colder, we’ve brought her in.  I wonder how warm a doghouse actually does stay.  There were days, when she was younger, when she would hop out in the morning after a subzero night, ready to go for a walk.  No longer.  She’s older, and so am I.  I stay inside more, and huddle around the heater.  I hope someone takes me to the bathroom when I can’t open the door myself.

Murder and Drunk Driving

On my blog about local murders I have not included those death which were a result of drunk driving.  I see now, though, that the victims’ memorial in the courthouse can include those names; there are at least five.  Is killing someone in a drunk driving incident murder?  No.  There is no intent.  It is certainly a homicide, and should be punished as such.  But it is not murder.  So drunk driving deaths, and manslaughter deaths, are not going to be included.  There would be too many, and the line has to be drawn somewhere.  Since the legislature has made the distinction, I will abide by it.  I do not mean to minimize the pain the families and other survivors feel, but the fundamental distinction of intent must be maintained.

The Vacuum

I wonder how many words there are on the Internet.  There are billions of pages, so there must be thousands of billions of words.  So much information, so much knowledge, all available to anyone with a connection, 24/7.  We have entered an age when we no longer have to know any thing.  We just look it it.

And yet, I continue to write and look for a publisher.  This blog needs to get more active, because when I’m not working on a book, I still need to write.  The most interest I’ve garnered is on the murder site.  Almost 10,000 page views in less than a year.  My fiction has never garnered even a hundredth of that notice.  Still, I will try.  That’s where my desire is, after all.

So the vaccum must be filled, and it must be filled with words, with thoughts, with ideas.  It is the eternal desire of man to say “I was here.  I lived.  I mattered.”  From the caveman to the modern spraycan tagger, the desire is the same.  I am here.  I live.  Do I matter?  Well, I’d like to think so.
